Adelie penguins at Cape Bird in late summer. The chicks are almost fully grown, some have begun to go out to sea, but most are still in the phase of chasing of chasing adults for food when they return from the ocean.

Moulting Emperor Penguins

A trio of emperor penguins sitting near the road to the airfield from McMurdo Station. They sat there for a number of weeks as they slowly moulted leaving an ever increasing pile of feathers around them. Filmed with a large zoom lens so they did not get disturbed or want to move.
